The oh-so-instagrammable Prithvi winter menu

On my way to the gym I run past the Indian restaurant, Prithvi - gazing longingly at the diners behind the blinds wishing I was doing that instead. One rainy afternoon last week I got my wish, and we sat in their beautifully decorated restaurant - drinking beaut (and I mean BEAUT) wine and sampling crisp mini poppadom appetisers as we waited for the first course.

The first course was Tandoor baked Salmon with beetroot 'ju', cucumber and mango. Light, but rich in taste it was the perfect first dish. To follow was Welsh Lamb, decorated with couscous (and a very pretty flower...), then venison with butternut squash and covered (by the man) in ginger & cinnamon sauce. The third dish was my favourite, nearly topped by the dessert - white choocolate, passion fruit cream and coriander/honey crumble...

Taking pictures of food like this is easily done, and it wasn't style over substance either. A great way to work your way into the winter season (also by forgoing the gym and having lots of food instead)...
