Stripy straws and glittery pumpkins


Halloween has been and gone, a celebration I don't always get involved in (other than to feed the trick or treaters who come to my door). And this year my housemate and I celebrated by hosting a Halloween party at our new abode. Invitations were sent (designed by my fair hands of course) and only 'matching' decorative items were bought. Our house was filled with stripy straws, glittery pumpkins and halloween bunting and the party was ready to go...once our outfits had been sorted of course.

After a bit of back and forth, a few picture messages sent and searches on ebay - Nicola settled on 'The Black Swan' and I settled on a plain old boring...cat. Leopard print of course. Oh and Lola was a hot dog (perfect dachshund attire). Pinterest was ideal for makeup inspiration (particularly to aid us in recreating Natalie Portman) - with 'claw' nails being painted and glitter and eyeliner being bought in abudance for myself. A few hours(!) of this and the night was in full orange-vodka-jelly-flow...
