A while ago we designed a full stationery set for a couple who had a vintage travel theme. Starting with the main invitation itself, it was designed within the format of a roll-fold leaflet. Stars, pink ribbons and teal badges (their theme colours) were used to compliment bold retro typography. Not only practical, as the guest could cut off the RSVP and keep the main information for the special day - the format of the invite also lent itself to slowly revealing the details. And as is usually the case with these things, the invite set the president for the rest of the stationery.
Vintage guest book postcards were to follow, highlighting locations that were important to them. The table names were also designed in line with this, using polaroid pictures of the couple on each of them - with a handwritten note of their memories.
Then an order of service, menu and snow-globe favours were designed using larger highlights of colour to stand out on the tables. It was great seeing it all come together on the special day. It can take a bit of time to put together a stationery set like this but working with such a lovely couple made it a genuine pleasure.
